My dry mouth wasn't really that bad 6 weeks post treatment, but my doc suggested it to assist the recovery. I was warned about side effects and the time it takes to work (2-3 wks, sometimes longer). I'm only 12 days in but for me it hasn't been worth it. The thick saliva I now produce has impacted what I had regained of my taste, get the sweats regularly, and I feel flush and hot (which makes my wife do the happy dance: "Now you know what it feels like!!" LOL
I'm going to stick it out for the suggested acclimation time but not any longer, the side effects aren't worth it IMO. YMMV

I too gave the pilocarpine a brief try. I probably only lasted 3 weeks before I stopped using it. I couldnt stand how it made me sweat. Maybe if it hadnt been summer I would have had better results.
