Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | I saw my Oncologist Tue. and the 1st thing he said was, Jim you sure had a lot of surgeries in Pittsburgh. What were they doing? I did my best to explain it and hope he understood. That is one of the nicest Drs I see and the first one with this OC I saw too. He told me see ya in a year after he checked out inside my mouth and what's left of this old tongue. He wanted to get me different narcoyics but I turned them down. What I take doesn't work for long. Maybe 15 minutes but I can take it. Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
--- Passed away 5/14/14, will be greatly missed by everyone here
