Even though they are free, many survivors will make a donor drive page to fund raise for OCF. Every little bit helps!
If you live within driving distance PLEASE consider taking a few hours out of your busy life to attend a walk. Meeting other survivors is a memorable experience, its like you are meeting old friends. You cant imagine what a great feeling it is to be among other survivors and caregivers. We all bond instantly since we all 'get it'.
Anyone who is able to attend the St Paul walk, please send me a PM so I can be sure to look for you. Best,
Susan

Please mark your calendar if you live in PA, New Jersey, etc. we would love to see you there!
As Christine stated, If you live within driving distance PLEASE consider taking a few hours out of your busy life to attend a walk. Meeting other survivors is a memorable experience, its like you are meeting old friends. You cant imagine what a great feeling it is to be among other survivors and caregivers. We all bond instantly since we all 'get it'. There is such a bond between survivors that we had a few that drove over 2 hours each way to attend this years walk.
The Lehigh Valley walk is organized by local OC survivors and their friends and family. We have since form our own informal support group and welcome others to help with the walk. Some members of our planning committee are long term survivors -- 10+ years. We have two 14 year survivors and our "senior" member is an 18 year survivor and all are doing wonderful! It has been an awesome experience working with this group. When we had our first walk in 2009, I was only a 4 year survivor, so working with this great group of long-term survivors really gave me hope and the mental boost I needed.
So if you want to help, please let me know.
Susan
