Welcome to this site. I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but there is a lot of great information on this forum that should be helpful to you. Your post should probably be the start of a new thread (if I knew how to move it, I would -- hopefully someone else can do this).
It would help us if you could give us some more background to the extent you have it about the location of the tumor (tongue, tonsil, etc.) and what stage it is, if that has been determined. Also, what types of doctors have you seen thus far, and how was the tumor discovered?
There are patients, survivors, and caregivers here who have dealt with oral SCC in various locations and at different stages -- if we have a few more specifics about your situation, it will help in trying to give you some meaningful answers.

Where is your at ot located. That would help us help you. Mine was on the tongue, first, then the floor of the mouth and finally in the jaw. Mine did not grow fast, but I also caught it early. Please write back and talk to us, hopefully out of all of us on the site, someone can help you or ease your fears. ALways, Vicki | | |
