Type and stage of cancer:1st - SCC left base of oral tongue non HPV, T3N1M0 hemi-glossectomy 60 node rem, radX35 carboplatnum &Erbitux X6, Peg tube, lost 55 lbs
2nd - SCC right base oral tongue, surgery, Cisplatin & Erbitux x 16
3rd - SCC right base oral tongue, surgery, hope.

Days later I wrote this.....
Please show me how to suction the trach tube for myself.
This is way up there in my memory of trying to communicate that I felt that I could no longer breathe and felt like I was drowning.
Once I resorted to letting something drop to the floor from my tray to get attention!!
The app is a wonderful idea.

History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
1/31/16 passed away peacefully surrounded by family

Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 2,671 | How about having some of the fun phrases done in voices of some famous people - like Darth Vader- George Bush, etc. My son used to do a really good imitation of George Bush when he worked at Target to announce specials over the intercom. . . .i.e. (Nope, Not gonna do it) or that nice sexy lady on Modern Family. I forget her name but her last name starts with a "V" and sounds like Viagra. Also Tyler Perry's Madea. I would buy that app for the famous voices alone.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
