Sorry but I have not heard of Mugard before. Is this a new product? Maybe I know it by a generic name? If it works for you then maybe it could help others too.

I hope you are doing well post-operatively. Did they get clear margins? How did the tumour look? I'm assuming that you have nodal involvement since you are having radiation. I wish you the best of luck with your upcoming treatment. There are plenty of people here that share their big bag of tricks to get through the treatments.
Here's to a smooth recovery and best possible outcome!
Take care, Kerri

They took out 27 lymph nodes, out of that only one with a tiny dot .01 cm or something like that. That tiny dot made my doc to have me go thru radiation! If my kids were a bit older i would have refused radiation and tried natural ways.
Cheryl and Christine, thanks for welcome messages, i have read many many posts by you.
I will be sure to update everyone on my exp with mugard

To be honest I didn't get on with it and thinks it caused an allergic reaction but it's worth giving it a try. I just rinsed with bicard and water and salt, that helped and I also gargled with Manuka honey not that often but it did help me with the sores and I found that my mouth healed really quickly. Hope radiotherapy is going ok we are all here to support you through this even me far away in the uk! Hugs Jayne x

I am preparing for the worst. My rad starts in a couple days and if I am like most people, will need a full toolbox to deal with side effects.
Thanks,
Ken

I know the prospect of radiation sucks, even though the met to your neck is so small...it's going to save your life!
Keep fighting and I'll be thinking of you, Kerri

I will definately keep updating this so everyone can see the results. Kerri, yeah that little .01 guy caused concern. They did take that out and everything else was negative. God only knows if this radiation was required or not Ken, it would be great if you could post your results as well. Did your radiologist asked you to take right before rads? My radiologist said i could not but another users radiologist said okay so i am not sure what is right. Sam Sam
