I'm sorry for what you are both going through. I hope the second opinion gives you some options and hope, if not the clinical trials.

Please come here whenever you need us. Until then, I'm wishing for you some peace of mind.

Take care,
Kerri

Thanks again everyone! Our appointment was moved up to the 1st of this month so I took it. We have decided to go with USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer center for treatments. It sounds as if they would be giving him the same chemo as his last oncologist. Only difference is everything is done in one place rather then having to schedule seperate appointments for scans at another place USC does it all in 1 building. Plus if for any reason this chemo fails they have trials they can use. Andy will be having a scan next week to make sure the cancer hasn't spread and then begin his chemo treatments. Wish us luck!

Leigh Ann, wishing you and your husband the very best with everything you both are facing. Being a caregiver is not an easy job. To me, they are angels! Please dont forget to be good to yourself thru this too. Take a couple minutes everyday just for you. Even if it is just to walk around the block or a long hot shower to relax. Im a firm believer that it takes not just the best medical care, an optimistic attitude and a great caregiver to get thru this. Please check in from time to time or or course anytime you have any questions. We are here for you both.

Best wishes!

Christine

Leigh Ann: You certainly have my prayers for a successful treatment. It's good to know there are trials to help hubby if the chemo doesn't work. Others have had success with trials, so never give up. We are thinking of you and waiting to hear updates.
Hugs from julieann
