That's Great, Karen - you must have known intuitively that it would be sooo appropriate! Wouldn't it be something if everyone sent him a pumpkin? They would probably run out of orange ink! laugh

I just sent Jim another e-card. I sent the fall scenery one. It was under the holiday cards title. Jim said 'thank you' to everyone who sent cards. I think it helps him to be positive when he sees how much we all care about him. I think I will send him another real card by regular mail tomorrow.

Jim's daughter said he is anxious to get back onto the forum. Sounds like he misses everyone.

I found a card under holidays that was a combination Halloween (celebrated by some here but scaled way down) and a get well card.
It was trick or treat regarding hospital food (with a get well soon!) crazy
Of course I had to apologise to Jim in the text about sending a card about foodknowing full well....
Thanks for the updates Christine and look forward to hearing from our Jim soon.

Tomorrow morning Jim is going to have his surgery. He has responded very well to the IV antibiotics. His doctors feel he is doing well enough to be able to handle the mandibulectomy.

Hope everything goes as planned! When I find out more info, I will post it. Cards can still be sent to Jim at the same place.

Good luck Jim!!!!

Looking at the time/date difference I am guessing that the surgery has taken place or is nearly over.
My thoughts and best wishes are with Jim for the best possible result.
Thanks again Christine and look forward to hearing that it all went well!!

Just sent him a card - guess if he's moved to a different room, they'll find him.

Jim was put under but when the doc went in, he saw Jim still had the infection. The surgeon called off the mandibulectomy. Jim is doing fine, he is awake and walking the halls.

Better safe than sorry. Hope Jim fights off the infection so he can get the surgery over with and recover. Poor Jim!

Here is the link for the e-cards in case anyone would like to send Jim a card to keep his spirits up.
