Caco CG to Dad. Biopsy 5/11 non-op, SCC stage IV poorly dif at base of tongue with nodes, quit smoking in '85, ChemoRad began 8/2/11 ended 9/22/11 with NED. Distant mets 11/11, clinical trials. War raging on!
| | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 48 Contributing Member (25+ posts) | Contributing Member (25+ posts) Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 48 | Ellen I have a tube in and i'm starting to ween myself off. one thing if you get a pump and feed all nite you have no appetite. now my wife and nurse decided to make me eat more and slow way down on the jevity. one can a little after diner and one before bed. hopefuly i'll be hungry in the morning. just because you have the tube dosn't mean that you can't eat by mouth. just remember you have to still keep the tube clean. I use water. thanks Pat
dx mucoideperdermoid stage 1 .9cm tumor removed from lower left tongue 5-3-11 rad 5-31-11 till 8-10-11 three weeks off in june 9 days in hospital healing mouth from radiation burns. 33 days of radiation.wife is caregiver peg tube july 7-11 age 59 male.
