Im still short a 8oz can. then I pour a can at 1pm in the tube. as per the nutritionistthat equals 2500 cal. Im 6'5" and use to weigh 310 now I weigh 270 and trying not to lose any more.
dx mucoideperdermoid stage 1 .9cm tumor removed from lower left tongue 5-3-11 rad 5-31-11 till 8-10-11 three weeks off in june 9 days in hospital healing mouth from radiation burns. 33 days of radiation.wife is caregiver peg tube july 7-11 age 59 male.
| | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 48 Contributing Member (25+ posts) | OP Contributing Member (25+ posts) Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 48 | just got back from my ent doc and he had some good advice. he wants me to look at eating as a rehab program. dont eat for nutrition but to help rehab my mouth and swollowing. don't eat for quanity but for exercising. it doesn't matter how much just that you are eating something. he said i'm getting my nutrition from the peg not what i'm trying to eat. thought I'd pass that idea on. takes alot of stress away.
