I am sure there is not one of us who isn't just jumping up and down for you. We need to hear good news like that. As far as what works, I personally believe that a positive attitude cannot be beat for helping in all areas, and it sound like you and your mum have this down pat. Now go and Party Hearty! I am new to the group and I wanted to comment on your "bristol Diet" I read a very good book called "Beating cancer with nutrition" and that author is very down on sugar, fats and very big on veggie (especially the bright colored vegies as very helpful) You may want to find it in your book stores.
I personally try to stay on that trend I have cut out all sugar, But I still eat meat and probably way too much fat. (I had to gain back the weight I lost during radiation treatment.) so happy for your mother and that she may not have to go through with radiation!
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
