Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 206 | Hi I have to go to Houston Texas and have surgery done on my neck due to radiation. Both sides have to be done in the caratiod artery's. Let me know what doctors are good and motels to stay at.

I'm sure Danny will be along soon and able to give you some information. I believe he lives in Houston.
Although he might have some more questions for you: type of doctor? is it a MD Anderson thing? Price range and areas of hotels?
I live close, but don't knowas much as Danny.

Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 642 | Cath, I don't quite understand. Are you just picking a doctor, or are you already working with one of the hospitals such as MD Anderson or Methodist? There are a lot of motels near the medical center/Astrodome area that have free shuttles to the medical center. As you might imagine the prices vary. I recommend calling MD Anderson cancer center and ask for a concierge or social worker that can give you a list of available, close by motels.
