We here in Manitoba are having huge problems getting enough pathologists....sigh but they expect to remedy that situation shortly. Important thing - the biopsy showed no cancer.
There was some other things they talked about - inflamation, yeast infection...blah blah blah....not sure I heard it all but I did hear what I needed to!! I will deal with the details when I pick up my prescription for Nystatin tomorrow.

History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
1/31/16 passed away peacefully surrounded by family

Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,357 Likes: 5 | Every time I go through this cycle - "Issue - Test - Wait - Rejoice or Treatment", I SWEAR to myself that NEXT TIME I will handle it better. NEXT TIME.
NEXT TIME I will be more patient, more accepting, more realistic. I promise myself I will worry less, appreciate more, be present in each day and be grateful as I should be for 7 years post initial diagnosis.

As far as THIS TIME and previous biopsies/scares, I know I seriously would not be alive today without all of you. And while I aspire to all of my NEXT TIME things, I can't promise them but I know this family will be here for me.
