Mt dentist said to lay a very small beed of floride inside the trays and it would "smush" all over my teath just right. I've found it difficult to get the right amount in there and evenly without rubbing it around the trays with my finger. Last week I asked a dental hygenist friend of mine to get me a couple if the big plastic syringes they give you to fulsh out the holes where wisdom teath used to be when you have them out (big bent plastic syringes with no neeedle). Oddly enough I had asked her for them so I could seel some grout in my new shower without getting any on the tile itself. I have since found that I can squirt some of the floride into the back of the syringe (pull plunger out) and push out a perfect beed into the trays without making a mess or using my finger. I also put a small piece ot tape over the end of the syringe so the floride doesn't dry up over night. I believe they are either very cheap or even free. I hope this can help some folks. It's made it A LOT easier for me. Will Zinn

I wish I had thought of it. I don't have this problem with the gel forumlation which comes out in nice tiny bead, proably because it's the same small nozzle size of a syringe. 65 yr Old Frack Stage IV BOT T3N2M0 HPV 16+ 2007:72GY IMRT(40) 8 ERBITUX No PEG 2008:CANCER BACK Salvage Surgery 25GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Apaghia /G button 2012: CANCER BACK -left tonsilar fossa 40GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Passed away 4-29-13

It comes out like 1/4 as thick/wide a beed as regular gel toothpaste. But still too fat. The syringe makes like perfect little angel hair pasta bead you can even go over twice if you want a little more.

While the bottle does say its a Gel, that IMO is wishful thinking on their part. My prosthodontist had to write on my prescription: NO PREVIDENT. thanks for validating my point that the "toothpaste" flouride is just too thick to work right. But I have enough hassles without needing to use a syringe and the Cypress Gel comes out in "a perfect little angel hair pasta bead" right out of the tube.

I use Prevident and agree with all the posters on its thickness and difficulty. At 13 bucks a tube I'd hate to lose even a drop.

Just pop the plunger out of the back of the syringe and fill it like half way. Then push the paste up to the top and lay the beeds into the trays. When you're done take a piece of scotch tape and put it over the tip of the syringe making like a little triangle that it fits right into. Each day just pull the tape off and slide it back on when you're done. It won't dry up on you (or at least it hasn't done so for me) It has made this process VERY easy for me and I'm not wasting any of it. When I was spreading it on with my finger I was wasting a tom of it. Good luck and let me know how it's working for you. Will Zinn
