Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 280 | Chemo week from h*ll is (i hope) finally over at our house.
My God he was sick this time! Worst reaction ever for us.
Two more weeks until the scans and we are awaiting calls for appointments with a psychologist to change his anxiety/anti depression medication and a therapist to talk s*** out with.
I'm finally accepting that I'm all the help I'm going to get with this fight.(IRL on a local level)
Matt and I discussed a lot of issues that may be in our future and I am feeling much more confident. I can do this.
CG to my husband, Matt. Dx June 2009 Stage IV Oropharengeal SCC right tonsil primary with distant metastases. Rad to neck- Surgeries to lungs- Every avail chemo - ran out of options Jan 2012, called for hospice help Feb 2012, at rest March 19, 2012.

chemo 15/07/2009 x 3 Cisplatin
last TX 28/08/2009
25/11/2009 PET-lymph node activity.
08/01/2010 CT Scan-ALL CLEAR
03/03/2010-Peg removed
01/2013 left side of Jaw removed and replaced with pectoral flap.
23/12/2020 scan show lesion in tongue
01/2021 SCC stage 3 base of tongue diagnosed
01/03/2021 chemotherapy started.
17/03/22 lost the battle. Missed dearly
