Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 | As many of you know Michele57 recently finished with radiation. She had a recurrence and went for surgery yesterday. Here are the following posts made by her son on facebook. Please pray for her.
"Just got an update - the tumor is far too aggressive to take it all out with surgery, so she's done with that and is on to a reconstruction. Most of the tumor was taken out, but it had seeped in, unlike common tumors, and would have done more bad than good to remove. Send as much love as you can. Mom needs it more than all of us."

Caregiver to husband Ron. Throat Cancer. Finished 35 radiation treatments on 11/21/04. 8/2/11 small lesion on lower gum, laser Procedure to remove. 3/6/12 Doc. removed another lesion on outside of his neck. Did a skin graft from his chest to replace the skin on his neck. Went to Heaven on 6/24/12.

Marginal mandibulectomy 6/17/08 resulted in DX of Stage I SCC - gingiva (3 mm) right mandible, buccal side. Clear margins. Occasional social drinker. Smoked last cigarette in 1979. Clear pet: 12/08; 7/20/09. Yay!
