Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | My cool mist vaporizer has been running 24/7 since Tx 8 years ago. I replace the filters periodically and disinfect/decalcify it. Higher humidity is healthier in general. Even in the SF Bay area, indoor humidity can get down to 30%. Heating and AC strip humiduty out of the air.
