Tim saw the GI doctor this week and there was good news and bad news. The good news is that he won't need another dilatation, at least for a while. Or tooth implants. And he can stop shaving.

The bad news is that the VitalStim treatments didn't help. The swelling is still bad on the left side from surgery last May and that hindered the electrical stimulation.

He will have another swallow test in 6 months and if the epiglotis is working, he'll try swallow therapy again and he may need another dilatation at that time.

Susan, CG to husband, diagnosed April 2010, age 56, non-smoker, no HPV
Mandibulectomy on left side May 2010 followed by 30 radiation, 3 cisplatin treatments.
