Things are really starting to change for me. My speech therapist told me awhile back that the swallowing would get easier when the trach tube came out and she was right. She said it was like an anchor. I actually was able to eat a hamburger yesterday from McDonalds.
I had a friend tell me just last week that he could tell that the downward spiral was over and I was on my way back up and starting to walk out and return to as normal as possible.
I wouldnt have been able to get to where I am without all of you encouraging me along the way.
Billy
