You are right Margaret, the end was very good. He faces his limitations and encourages others to do the same. Reminds me of a Tiny Buddha quote: "A beautiful thing is never perfect. The rest of the quote I thought may be too long to copy here so I put it on FaceBook. But it reminds me of all the uniquely beautiful people I've met on this forum.

I was stunned by the infomercial segment of it touting his rice pot cookbook full of recipies he will never eat. He seemed so at home in the kitchen and preparing food that I just cannot understand why he eats alone upstairs, separate from his wife in the downstair dining room as they showed on Oprah. As the Esquire interview noted
He eats through a G-tube he's fed with a liquid paste, suspended in a bag from an IV pole, through a tube in his stomach. He usually eats in what used to be the library, on the brownstone's second floor. (It has five stories, including a gym on the top floor and a theater with a neon marquee in the basement.) A single bed with white sheets has been set up among the books, down a hallway filled with Ebert's collection of Edward Lear watercolors.
Still, he is inspiring. It was that sad scene of him alone with his PEG tube and gravity bag for most of his meals that made me buy a Vitamix so my wife and I could "eat" together. That has been a real blessing so thanks Roger. I do but not by choice as I live alone. When I go to my kids for dinner, I eat with them but hide some of my mouth actions. I imagine most of us use a finger as an eating utensil at times. Fun with all liquid. LOL

Thanks, Marlene

Find a high school computer geek and they'll have you up and running in a heartbeat. I am not sure what the application is that opens that video up but it might be Adobe Flashplayer Try updating to the latest version, reboot your system and try it again. (it wouldn't hurt to have Shockwave too - they are both on the same link). It is free. *** Update - It IS Adobe Flashplayer, version 10 *** http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/activex/?a=false
