Hi Christine, I hope your husband is able to come to enjoy the time that he has. I believe my biggest regret in life is not living the first 23 years of our marriage like we did the last two after she was diagnosed. Suddenly it didn't matter who was right or who was wrong, who won or lost, if I made a fool of myself trying to get a laugh. It might seem hard to believe but I even began to enjoy being stuck in traffic on the way to a doctor appointment or being kept in the waiting room past the appointment time, it just gave us more time with each other. Wishing you, your husband and family peace and comfort.

Last night was HARD. He spend a few hours brooding and I let him be. I eventually went into his room/office and just sat beside him and talked a bit. I told him to enjoy this time free from treatment. Especially since he's pretty much recovered from the last lung surgery and is feeling good. He said he so desperately wanted to welcome the new year cancer free, and was mourning that lost wish. It's hard to keep his spirits up when I'm at work 9 hours out of the day, but I will get him planning our road trip and hopefully keep his mind busy as much as possible.
