Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 88 | I agree that you need to find an ENT with experience with cancer patients. I have an actual head and neck surgeon that specializes in cancer and oral stuff. I have also had days where I struggle to swallow but it usually does not last more than a day. Can be scary but keep a positive attitude about it all. There are a lot of people on here that can help too. I have to say that I have not used this sight as much as I probably should have for support but I have a pretty good attitude about it all most of the time.

My advice (from my one experience) is go to the head and neck/cancer specialist over the ENT specialist...
My ENT biopsied after a 3 month wait, didnt find anything and it was another 3 months before he talked about a second biopsy...I dont hold it against him, maybe it was hiding, or hard to get to, but the head and neck guys found it straight away and nailed it when they got it out too....
