Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 794 | I did have a ct scan, but can't recall if they said if I had a concussion. I was so concerned about Ed. I did go and speak with someone today and will be getting another opinion. I wish the headaches and tension would ease up. thanks!!

CG to Mom, dx 4/25/07 with tongue cancer,T3N0,tx began 7/6/07, 31 tx's of IMRT, 8 cycles of Erbitux. Brachytherapy, surgery, left neck dissection and temp trach placed all on 9/17/07, trach removed 10/17/07. ORN of jaw, late effect of radiation symptoms. **lost my beautiful mother on 5/5/11.

Glad to hear your Mum is doing OK and that despite no seat belt Ed has recovered from the accident.
Let us know how you got on with that 2nd opinion. No expert but sounds to me like you are still in shock.
If you get a chance google PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).

History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
1/31/16 passed away peacefully surrounded by family
