SCC(T2N0M0) part.glossectomy & neck dissect 2/9/05 & 2/25/05.33 IMRT(66 Gy),2 Cisplatin ended 06/03/05.Stage I breast cancer treated 2/05-11/05.Surgery to remove esophageal stricture 07/06, still having dilatations to keep esophagus open.Dysphagia.  "When you're going through hell, keep going"

Donna CG to Mom, dx 4/25/07 with tongue cancer,T3N0,tx began 7/6/07, 31 tx's of IMRT, 8 cycles of Erbitux. Brachytherapy, surgery, left neck dissection and temp trach placed all on 9/17/07, trach removed 10/17/07. ORN of jaw, late effect of radiation symptoms. **lost my beautiful mother on 5/5/11.

  So sorry it's back. You are in my thoughts and prayers.         Margaret ---------- C/G: Husband, 48 (at time of dx) Dx 5/18/07 SCC, BOT, lymph node involvement.  T1N2BM0. (Stage 4a, G2/3) Tx 6/18 - 8/3/07, IMRT x 33 Cisplatin x3 (stopped after 1st dose due to hearing issues). Weekly Erbitux started 6/27/07 completed 8/6/07.

Brenda in UK--Diagnosis 30/5/07--undifferentiated carcinoma in right jawbone and muscles. Stage 4  6/7/07--new diagnosis primary is in lung. Finished 4cycles of palliative carboplatin/gemcitabine        therapy September 07 Now dying to live!

Colleen--T-2N0M0 SCC dx'd 12/28/05...Hemi-maxillectomy, partial palatectomy, neck dissection 1/4/06....clear margins, neg. nodes....no radiation, no chemo....Cancer-free at 4 years!

I was 4 years out when I was diagnosed the 2nd time and I'm still here. It sucks but you can do it. I'm praying the lungs are clear but even if they are not, they may be able to treat them. Please don't get depressed and put on your fighting spirit. We are all here to support you and glad you are going for a second opinion. You're gonna beat it this time too!

SCC Stage IV left tonsil neck disection 3/02 radiation finished 6/02 chemo finished 9/02  Stage 2A left breast cancer 3/09, chemo and radiation, finished treatment 2/7/10 -Stage 2 right beast cancer 10/14 chemo and radiation Every day is still a gift :-)

  I think people who are diagnosed with recurrences should get more space for private messages than the rest of us!

Because you and he share the same diagnosis, I have read each and every post you've written and have gleaned much significant information.
  Because of this, your situation is of special interest.  You are such an inspiration to all of us!  You can beat this...I know in my heart you can.
