Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 13 | My mother's second follow-up MRI is tomorrow morning and I'm very very nervous. I'm anticipating a sleepless night is ahead.
I don't want to hear the word "cancer" ever again. Neither of us are left with any strength to deal with it, not right now if ever.

SCC of the larynx, stage 1- December 2008
Finished RT- March 2009
PET/CT shows recurrance, 1 lymph node involvement- August 2009
Partial laryngectomy+neck dissection- Sep 2009
1 cancerous lymph node, 1.5 cm, extra capsular spread.
no other treatments after.
PET/CT 12/3/09- CLEAN

CG/Mom: 5 1/2 years SCC upper palate,4 recurrences, surgeries, chemo & radiation. Mom went to Heaven 1/21/11.
