Donations starting at $10.00 can be made by clicking on this link https://www.causes.com/fb/donations/new?cause_id=334112 There is also a monthly award of $50,000 to the cause with the highest total number of unique daily donations over the 30 days of the Challenge. $25,000 will be awarded to the cause with the next highest total number of unique daily donations over the 30 days of the Challenge. $10,000 will be awarded to the next five causes with the highest total number of unique daily donations over the 30 days of the Challenge. These might be a bit of a challenge for a small non profit like OCF, but I bet we can win the one day challenge for $1,000.00!Donations can be made daily and all will count toward the overall number. If you wish to donate more than $10, make sure that at least one donation is on our target date Nov. 2nd.

To win the $50,000, OCF would have to have the most days of winning number of donations out of the entire thirty days. Winning just on Nov 2nd would not earn anything except the $1000 as well as count as one day towards the $50,000. Also a technicality:
(Daily awards begin at 3:00pm ET and run through 2:59pm ET the following day.)
I think that means that OCF members have to donate after 3pm on Nov 2nd (noon in Megan's time) and before 3pmET on Nov 3rd. Based on the charity challenge, we should be able to win Nov 2nd. 65 yr Old Frack Stage IV BOT T3N2M0 HPV 16+ 2007:72GY IMRT(40) 8 ERBITUX No PEG 2008:CANCER BACK Salvage Surgery 25GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Apaghia /G button 2012: CANCER BACK -left tonsilar fossa 40GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Passed away 4-29-13

November 2nd AFTER 3 PM ET (noon for our California posters) go to this link OCF giving challenge you can click on Facebook, or the Non-facebook box. It takes you to a page where $25 is the default, (You can switch it to $10 as the minimum). It asks for a "tip" to causes which you can enter zero if you want while still being a valid vote. Next you click again and are prompted for your credit card information and an email address to send you a receipt for tax purposes. I JUST TRIED ALL OF THE ABOVE AND MADE A donation TODAY, I did this early because I have had some private PMs expressing concern that the non facebook links did not work well last year and that donations were not counted. So again, please all log onto this web site on Monday November 2nd after 3 pm ET and DONATE so we can win a cool one thousand dollars for OCF. Feel free to donate every day but if we all vote together on Nov 2nd, we can win. While I was typing this my receipt came into my email so it looks like all systems go. charm 65 yr Old Frack Stage IV BOT T3N2M0 HPV 16+ 2007:72GY IMRT(40) 8 ERBITUX No PEG 2008:CANCER BACK Salvage Surgery 25GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Apaghia /G button 2012: CANCER BACK -left tonsilar fossa 40GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Passed away 4-29-13

It's not my fault that this contest does not comport with the calendar but since it started at 3pm EST, that is how the rules read. You however are always an early bird so I understand your concern. If only more OCF posters were obsessive like us about doing it early & often (donate that is) Charm 65 yr Old Frack Stage IV BOT T3N2M0 HPV 16+ 2007:72GY IMRT(40) 8 ERBITUX No PEG 2008:CANCER BACK Salvage Surgery 25GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Apaghia /G button 2012: CANCER BACK -left tonsilar fossa 40GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Passed away 4-29-13

| | | | MeganCannon Unregistered | MeganCannon Unregistered | Alright! I just sent out the November issue of the OCF newsletter and the first main article is a call to action asking people to help us with this challenge! Lets hope this motivates enough people to help! We will have from 3pm EST on Monday Nov. 2nd through 3pm EST Tuesday Nov 3rd. : ) | | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 2,152 Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) | Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: May 2002 Posts: 2,152 | But the newletter didn't say 3PM on Monday was the start time. Is there any way to send a correction? Not everyone signs onto the board.
Take care, Eileen
