Amy,

I don't know exactly where in Virginia you are located, but I remembered the first OCF Walk was held in Virginia Beach, so I googled that area for grief support groups. These are two of the sites that came up that have groups for children of all ages: http://www.healingthespirit.org/support-eastern.php
http://www.thealcove.org/othergriefcenters.htm

When Heather died, it helped her daughter to go to The Caring Place for grieving children. Just being able to talk to other children who had lost parents was helpful.

Honestly, if you could talk your Dad into taking the girls, it may help him, too. The group we went to had separate groups according to the age of the child and also had groups for the adults. I understand that he probably won't want to go, though. Heather's husband wouldn't go either, and he struggled for a very long time before he was able to pull himself together.

I know your Mom would be very proud of you and your sisters. But you older girls must remember to take care of yourselves, too. I think all of you would benefit from grief counseling. I don't know which would be better, group counseling or individual, but I think it is important to do something soon.

Hugs and rainbows,

Rosie
