Problem with Gmail:

Warning: This message may not be from whom it claims to be. Beware of following any links in it or of providing the sender with any personal information.

And it is going to the SPAM mailbox. If I had not been somewhat awake, it would have been deleted.

Actually to be sure that you are signed up to receive it you can go to the link off the OCF home page at the bttom that says newsletter. That will bring up this page.

http://oralcancerfoundation.org/newsletter.htm

After you fill out the form with your email address, it will send you an email asking you to confirm that you want to be on the list. If you do not reply by clicking the link in that email, then you will not be signed up. This is all done this way to make people comfortable that we are not going to be using their email address to send any kind of spam to.

This lis a system that only allows us to send the newsletter to people that have actually signed up to get it, so it will not be thought of by ISP's as spam. It is also very easy with this system to get off the list anytime that you want.

I did it earlier today, and it showed:

You will receive an e-mail confirming your subscription.

Please follow the instructions in the e-mail to start receiving our newsletter.

So far today I have not received such an email. I just used your link and did it over. Maybe it takes a while. Thanks.

The email should come to you in less than 5 minutes. The reasons that you may not have received this could be that you typed in your email address with an error in it, or the email is ending up in your spam filter. The system send it right out. If you are still having problems, please call Megan at the OCF office and she can check our Streamsend (the system that sends out all the newsletters) account and see if you are showing up there.

I am having the same problem. I have signed up for this newletter at least three times over the months including once yesterday and have NEVER gotten a letter requesting confirmation. My SPAM filter sends me an update once a day with everything it flagged and I check it carefully. What is Megan's number at OCF.

Brian:

I tried it twice and was real careful about making sure I put the correct email address, but still no reply. What is Megan's telephone number. Thanks.
