Joined: May 2009 Posts: 114 | I have one of those pains two. Ear feels like a constant itch deep inside adn then it hurts like an ear ache and I can follow it to my throat which feels like a sore throat is coming on.
Age 52, T2 N0 M0 SCC of left anterior floor of mouth. Esophagoscopy, Direct laryngoscopy, Resection of left anterior FOM lesion w/ lateral tongue. left selective neck dissection levels I-IV. 5x6cm skin graft coverng excision. Finished 33-35 rad Tx. False recurrence 12-22-10 last surgery 2-15-10

Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 51 | I go in tomorrow for my PET & CT, prior to 2nd surgery (byopsy just found reoccurance of SCC).
Sugery team/Tumor board will come back with attack plan after reviewing scans.
After completing RT 1/09 I felt the tiredness and other simptoms for months. I went back to work ASAP after surgery, but had to leave early for a month or so, I felt so worn out.
I just joined this board, worring about #1 due to my reoccuarnce. I am scarred to death of going through surgery again, but doesn't look like I have much choice in the matter.
57 YO, Dx 10/08 with oral cancer, Surgery 11/08 followed by six weeks of RT treatment with the MASK.
Follow up on 10/15/09 found a soft spot, which turned out to be SCC. Don't know if I can receive more radiation or not since I've already received full dose.
