If you don't have a sense of humor, you need to develop one. It wasn't the mask but the OC that was the problem and the mask was an aid to fight it.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

I mounted mine on the wall with our deer mounts. That gets a lot of strange looks when people see it for the first time. Semper-Fi Bob

Lol, some great idea's here. I would send it over for you brian but it would cost a fortune in postage from Oz and would probably scare all of the postal workers between here and the US. Love the lampshade idea. We were advised not to burn it because of fumes so I'd think twice about that idea. Ezjim I totally agree on the sense of humour, it's a must to get through this. Have to try and find the humour in every day.

It might be good for a show on Candid Camera.

Anybody see the movie "Office Space"! If so Im thinking what they did with the fax machine might be a good option....If you have not seen the movie, go rent it and when that scene comes on I promise you will laugh! That is one of my favorite movies of all time!

Oh for the days when I asked myself that question. "THE" mask makes it sound so final as though that terrible part of your life is over. Oh, but I digress into nostaglia. For some of us, their is more than one. I took my first mask and made a plaster face then covered that with red stained glass and put the finished mosaic inside the mask. It was my interpretation of how on fire my face had been. I was planning on incorporating it into a mobile sculpture and then enter it in some art exhibit but the recurrence happened too fast to finish more than just that first mask. I have a second mask now, this one with a mouth opening and I've ordered some narrow blue glass rods to insert in the spaces to mimic the eerie screen shot of the PETSCAN radiation plan with blue lines intersecting where the CyberKnife would aim.
As my energy returns, I see about some of those cancer patients shows. I had made a stained glass mosaic mask before but all in blue with big blue jewels for eyes for a charity auction and it went quickly (maybe the title: Eye Robot helped)

Charm, LOL as usual you have come up with a unique idea for the mask. I bet the old one looks like a work of art. Lets hope one day soon they can forget about these masks.
