We asked if treatment would start right away or if he'd send us back home for a bit first, and the scheduling lady said she's seen him do it both ways. Helpful. What have your experiences been? Am just trying to figure out what the chances are of Joe actually beginning treatment there right away. Thanks all!

(Check best hospitals link on the resources page, databases section on the main OCF web site). In my own case, I spent 2 days researching an area that I had some knowledge in, and after that and got on a plane to Texas and MDACC for treatment. I didn't look at individual doctors but their tema approach. I had a team of more doctors than I can count from every possible discipline you can imagine. As a stage 4 patient, who no one thought would be around 10 years out, they reached in as I was circling the drain, and pulled me out. It wasn't fun, but here I am. You could do way worse than be at MDACC in my personal opinion.
