Yes, the Seattle Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center is part of Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA).

Another person posted here several months ago that he had gone to the CTCA facility in Illinois for a second opinion and did not hear anything back for weeks (if at all). He ended up at the Indiana University CCC, where he was seen and treated quickly. At the time he was posting, CTCA had NO specialists in head and neck cancer on its staff in any of its facilities -- and with this disease you need to see specialists who are very familiar with it.

Many of the leading cancer centers, including Fred Hutchinson/Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, offer the same sorts of complementary therapies (spiritual, psychological, etc.) as CTCA -- plus the specialized medical care.

All the best,
Leslie

April 2006: Husband dx by dentist with leukoplakia on tongue. Oral surgeon's biopsy 4/28/06: Moderate dysplasia; pathology report warned of possible "skip effect." ENT's excisional biopsy (got it all) 5/31/06: SCC in situ/small bit superficially invasive. Early detection saves lives.
