The first thing to do is to mention it to your surgeon. I have never heard of this, but you never know....Perhaps your leg was in an awkward position for too long and a nerve got pinched. It happens sometimes in the arm at the elbow. But if both are doing it, then that is an unlikely explanation. Mention it to the surgeon, and then ask who your anaesthesiologist was, and ask him. There could possibly be some remote and unusual side effect of some chemical you were given.

The podiatrist can not deal with such a problem, unless you first rule out all medical explanations. He can only make suggestions about symptomatic physical relief.
