I remember a whole thread about this Dr Kramer who apparently is the medical equivalent of Seinfield's Kramer. It is true that prostate tests are a waste of time and money and result in unnecessary surgery that inflates all our health costs. All the posters here know the stunning effect of hearing "You have cancer" and if you are diagnosed with prostate cancer it is very hard to do the right thing and "watch & wait". I think someone in this article even published a book. this is just old news reheated. Note that the article does except certain cancers and it would have been great if the New York Times had specifically mentioned oral cancer as the exception. 65 yr Old Frack Stage IV BOT T3N2M0 HPV 16+ 2007:72GY IMRT(40) 8 ERBITUX No PEG 2008:CANCER BACK Salvage Surgery 25GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Apaghia /G button 2012: CANCER BACK -left tonsilar fossa 40GY-CyberKnife(5) 3 Carboplatin Passed away 4-29-13
