If there is a post concerning this matter please direct me there.
One of radiation therapisthave only seen her once) has told me to not drink/eat anything extremely hot or cold, as well as, spicy foods(I south TX) becuase this would effect my rads by either speeding them up or slowing them down. I.e. Hot speeding up the effects/cold slowing down the process. Has anyone heard of this? I realize I am just in the first week or so of tx. I am waiting for the side effects to appear. I am somewhat prepared for what is to come by reading many of the posts here from the wise folks that frequently post on this forum. I have lots of aloe, and some cream called Miaderm. Mouthwash, I like Biotene.
So, I just want to hear what others may know about the validity of hot and cold drinks or spicy foods effecting radiation.
