#98805 07-05-2009 01:30 PM | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 19 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 19 | Ok, so it's back, had to have a node removed from my neck again, positive...Now I'm in the whirlwind of tests etc. The doc's are starting rads and chemo (5-FU and Cisplatin) on the 13th of July...my question is why do I have to be inpatient for the 5-FU, doc said that its infused over 96hrs. and that I need to be there for that. Isnt there an infusion pump or something, I'll be at the hosp every day for rad's anyway! A bit of help here would be appreciated
51 yr old female...dx 12/28/07, partial gloss 1/23/08, nd 3/5/08. Opened the neck AGAIN, 5/21/08. Non smoker, occasional drinker. Additional node pos. 6/26/09, Starting rads and chemo (5-fu, Cisplatin) 7/13/09 T1N2MO. Almost 2yrs out of treatment and feeling great....
