Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,219 | Sounds like you have a gum problem. Have you ever been diagnosed with peiodontal disease? I doubt that any problems with your gums would be related to the surgery. Stress can cause problems with your gums, too.
You should try to get an earlier appointment with your dentist. If your dentist won't see you for 3+ weeks when you are having a problem, I would say it's time to find another dentist. Our patients never have to wait more than a day to see one of us for an emergency and most of the time they get an appointment the same day.
