I finished my rads and chemo in Feb, On March 19th I had a neck dissection. All thru this I never had problems swallowing. yesterday I woke up and found it harder to swallow then usally. I called my rad onc and he told me to come right in. He looked me over and said I have thrush and gave me a prescription. Today I woke up and the swallowing is much worse, I do not have a peg and needed to lose weight. I was 280lbs when I started treatments and 223 when I ended treatments. After the neck dissection I drop down to 213 and have been there ever since.
Has anyone else ever had this problem? If so did the meds work and how long did they take before you were ab le to swallow right again. I don't want to lose much more weight, I was looking good at 213.
Thanks,
Rick
