I'm going for my excisional biopsy tomorrow to take off leukoplakia on the lateral/ventral tongue. I've also had tiny little ulcers (the size of the tip of a pen) right next to the leukoplakia for about a month at least. Does anyone have any experience with these little ulcers and are they always an indication of cancer? When I first had them they hurt when I talked or ate certain foods, especially sugary or spicy but now they don't really bother me. But they are still there and I have always read that it means cancer if they don't heal. Anybody have some insight?
