Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 51 | Saw my ENT on Friday, and he has given me the 2 year all clear, but still wants to see me three monthly. He has also suggested again that I have my throat stretched as it may help with all the chest infections I am getting from food going down the wrong way. My GP agrees with him. As usual I came out of his office without asking the obvious questions, i.e. how long is the procedure, how long does it last and what if any are side effects. Any comments? besides telling me I am a real dill.
SCC Base of tongue stage 4. 10 hour operation Radical neck dissection and hemiglossectomy 23/10/06 35 Rad treatments and 3 high dose Cistplatin Dec 06 - Feb 07. Ex casual smoker 6 to 8 a day - casual drinker. Very fit and diet conscious.
