A friend of mine who is into NASCAR had, last spring, told us about Bobby Hamilton having a head/neck cancer and going through same rigorous treatment (more or less) as my husband Barry did, he also told us that Hamilton had gotten through it as well, and that the outcome looked good.

He has since told us that Bobby died, not directly from the cancer but from complications associated with the treatment -- I note same alluded to in Robert's post -- is this the case?

I had been surprised to read that Bobby had died so soon after his apparent successful (or so it was initially reported) treatment but I know this can happen.
