Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | It can also indicate an infection, lymph nodes can become enlarged. Occasionally I had hard and enlarged lymph nodes under the armpit when I was a kid. Always a good idea to get it checked. A blood test to look for elevated WBC will also help confirm an infection.
