Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | Oh yeah - I had blisters on both sides of my tongue and it was very painful. It took a long time to heal. During some stages the sides of the tongue was just a little more red than usual. I had thrush many times as well but it was entirely different from the sides of the tongue issues. The tongue gets slammed pretty hard when getting irradiated for tonsil cancer.
It will heal eventually.
