Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 129 | Has anyone heard of the Beth Israel Center in NYC as one of the leading practices for HN & Thyroid Cancer and rehabilitation? In my search looking for a specialist to help my Mom regain her ability to eat again I was reffered to a Doctor/Chief at this center who seems to be extremely versed and experienced in this type of cancer as well as helping in corrective procedures for post tx dyphagia. My Mom will hopefully be seen by him in the next few months. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of the center and their prominence in the HN cancer field. I have been on this board for over a year and have not seen any posts on this center.

Mom has Bot scc stage T1/N1= stage 3 dx 6/27/05 treatment IMRT & chemo (docetaxel, cisplatin, 5FU) ended treatment 8/22/05 Cancer free as of Feb 2006
