| "Above & Beyond" Member (500+ posts) Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 531 | From my experience and I absolutely hated the feeding tube nutrition kinda has to be up to the individual how they can handle it but yeah smoothies are gooood stuff especially after surgery...myself it was mashed potatoes or rather totally whipped potatoes or foods put in a blender... I find my mouth is healing really quickly so it is a new experience everyday with nutrition...depends on what the doctor recommends too the liquid diet first then thicker and so forth but ususally up to the patient...
