I only posted once, about the horrible odor coming from my daughter's mouth and any suggestions on how to handle it. Well, on August 25th, my beautiful daughter passed away. I had been by her side for many days. We kept her medicated and she did not seem to be in pain. That young heart of her's keep working overtime trying to keep her alive, even as her oxygen level dropped to the low 40's. She died peacefully. She is my hero. She never complained during this 1 and 1/2 year struggle with tongue cancer. She never complained about not being to eat one thing by mouth for the past year. I know it frustrated her when people could not understand her, but she would patiently say it again more slowly or write it down. She was a great woman, a hero, and I loved her with all my heart. I know I will see her again some day but until then, I will miss her deeply.
