Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 1,116 | Lisa, one more thing I forgot, when I was initially diagnosed, my doctor sent me for a pet scan, and something lit up on my lung, another doctor called my home and told me the tongue cancer had possibly spread to my lung (this was pre surgery, etc), I remember crying and calling my husband at work and thinking this is it. However, it turned out to be scar tissue from bronchitus so I have been told. again, anything I can do....please let me know....you can email me or pm....Love, Carol
Diagnosed May 2002 with Stage IV tongue cancer, two lymph nodes positive. Surgery to remove 1/2 tongue, neck dissection, 35 radiation treatments. 11/2007, diagnosed with cancer of soft palate, surgery 12/14/07, jaw split. 3/24/10, cancer on tongue behind flap, need petscan, surgery scheduled 4/16/10
