Contributing Member (25+ posts) Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 27 | My tongue became very sensitive very soon after treatment ended. I had trouble moving it when I needed to talk a lot and I had to be very careful of what I ate because of a burning sensation. It is a lot better now, a year post treatment. I have no problems with moving it for speech and the burning sensation is minimal. I can eat tomatoes and citrus. I still find softer foods much easier to eat, chips, bread, green salads, meat, and chicken are still in the future.
Of course everyone recovers at a different rate and my recovery is slower than that of many others.
