Hi WZ,

I can only speak to my experience after radiation and surgery. I am a year out from radiation for tonsil cancer and still have a sore throat when it's very cold outside...and the heat is on in the house. We discussed this on the board a while ago and it seemed that a humidifier will help somewhat. The cold weather really does a number on the throat if you are out in it, and indoors the dry heat also effects your throat.

I can't talk to a flap, I just know that my disection is still tender in places...had 3 days this week with new docs poking at it and it's letting me know - it's not happy.

Of course I can only speak for myself, someone may come along soon that can answer your questions better. We all worry when we get thhose aches and pains, unfortunately that is one of the many side effects of cancer.

Take care,
Dinah
