Joined: May 2008 Posts: 219 | This is going to sound strange and funny, but here it is, when I drink and swallow, the liquid I am dringing will start dripping out of my nose. I have to keep a tissue when I drink as no matter how I hold my head about 3/4 of the time instead of going down my throat, it come up my nose. Very strange. I asked the ENT and he says I will just have to learn to swallow again, but it's been 4 weeks post surgery and I am having the problem above and when I try to swallow food it gets stuck in my throat and I have to drink liquid to make it go on down. I am adding eggs and soft foods to my diet now instead of just jello and yougart so am I starting soft foods to soon? Any suggestions? Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July! Thanks, Angel
SCC left tonsil, tonsillectomy with additional tissue removed 06/10/08, a few teeth on top left side removed 09/05/08,recurrence before treatment started at BOT and tonsil area, 35 IMRT treatments began 10/15/08, and Cisplatin IV (began10/16/08) weekly for duration of radiation.
